The cryonics feature (headed ‘Would you pay £40,000 to be woken up in the future?’), written by Richard Goslan for The Herald in 2008, that kicked off the publicity about my decision to sign up with Alcor. He was kind enough to let me check it over before publishing it. At the time, I wasn’t yet fully aware of just how unusual a decision I had taken. Yes, I knew that there were hundreds of people signed up for cryonic preservation, but I didn’t know that only a handful of them agree to have their names made public.
