University College London’s biosciences department contacted me to do an email interview about Frozen to Life and the cryonics science behind it. I enjoyed going into some depth in the interview on technical topics including connectomics, atomically-precise manufacturing (APM) and vitrification, but also on less technical ones such as the reasons why the general public seems loath to discuss cryonics.

It’s refreshing to see universities beginning to take an interest in cryonics. Allowed a fair platform, it’s a topic that may generate intense cross-departmental debate. That’s valuable and relevant in an era when the old, sharply-demarcated model of higher education seems increasingly out of step with modern thinking.
